The difference between a documented proceeding and an unverified complaint is the entire point of this site. It is never blurred, and it always appears on the entry itself rather than in the fine print.

Why there is no scam score
No severity rating, no stars, no number out of ten. A score invented by this site would be an opinion dressed up as a measurement, and it would be the first thing an operator's lawyer went after.

- How do you decide what gets published?
- Nothing publishes without at least one citation, and the requirement is enforced by the software rather than by memory, so an entry with no source will not build. Every entry also needs a hard identifier beyond a name, such as a profile URL or a company registration number, because publishing about the wrong person who happens to share a name is the most serious mistake a database like this can make.
- Is there a scam score or star rating?
- No. There is no severity rating, no scam score, and no stars, and that is deliberate. A number the site invents is an opinion dressed up as a measurement. Instead each entry shows counts that can be checked: how many independent reports exist, how many official actions have been filed, total losses claimed, how many business names the operator has traded under, and whether they responded when contacted.
